{Real Wedding} Amber & Patrick

It's so much fun when you get to share photos from your friends wedding! I met Amber and Patrick when I moved into my house in Pooler, GA, they lived across the street from us! I'm going to miss this adorable couple! They are so sweet and fun! Their love for each other is the kind of love you want for everyone - they are so in love with one another and are truly each other's best friend. Their wedding day was full of laughter and happy tears along with lots of silly inside jokes and many kisses! Don't miss the hilarious video I recorded on my iphone of them dancing to Gangnam Style and their sparkler send off all the way at the bottom of this post!

Eco-friendly details: no programs instead used a large chalk board to disply the bridal party information, spray painted tin cans then hammered nails into them to create a nice illuminated lanterns, wholesale flowers, ceremony decor was all harvest themed items that will be re-purposed to decorate their front stoop, reusing mason jars that were used for flower arrangement's and candles, used heirloom cake cutter and server that was the grandmothers from her wedding!, post card rsvp-less paper used with no envelope and less postage money, diy favors that will be very useful and not wasteful, supported etsy vendors, leftover food was donated to a homeless shelter, bride and groom walked to their hotel after the reception was over.

 They had the most adorable cake topper that was bought online from an etsy vendor.

 They know how to get this party going! Amber and Patrick are really into music so the DJ had a great compilation of music to play throughout the night. Plus they HAD to do Gangnam Style which I captured with my iphone.

{Real Wedding} Melissa & Antonio

I can finally share one of the weddings I helped plan!! This may look familiar to you since Alexis Sweet Photography was gracious enough to let me use Melissa and Antonio's photo for my military blog design, if you haven't been over there click here: A Military Story. This post will be up there on Feb. 8th too!

This fall wedding was so pretty and their navy, orange, and white color scheme looked perfect with Antonio's dress blues. This was one of my last weddings to help plan in Savannah, GA and their rustic details were really fun to make. I arranged all the flowers for the wedding, cut all the burlap table runners, and cut out all the letters for the table names and hot glued them to the foam pumpkins. Plus Nicole, who now owns Simply Savannah Events made the lace table overlays and the escort cards. We helped Melissa and Antonio with their wedding planning and day of coordination, which was a lot of work since they were relocated to Savannah during their planning process, and like many weddings their were some "hic-ups". Including their outside wedding was almost moved inside since hurricane Sandy was coming up the coast. Thankfully the weather was ok!! One of the unique parts of their wedding was the traditional Mexican tradition of the lasso ceremony which you can see images below when Antonio's family placed it around him and Melissa. Other fun details were the pine cones I incorporated into Melissa's bridal bouquet, and the funny group shots seen below, such a silly group! Thank you Alexis and Shannon for sharing these photos!
