One Day in December

Welcome to the 2nd annual ONE DAY IN DECEMBER which is a blog chain where 10 of us TWIPS will be blogging about our 2012 look backs - sharing great insight, strength, creativity, huge business success, and any personal struggles that have bonded us together. Who are all of us? Well we are Wedding Businesses from around the world who are run by inspirational people always willing to help, support and educate. We all met on the TWIPS site and it grew from there, regularly visiting each other blogs to offer encouragement, support and friendship. It's a refreshing change to find such a positive collective of people from all over the world looking to do their level best to create a supportive network of friendship and education. We only have 10 lovely ladies this year, since most of the TWIPS are super crazy busy!! Make sure you click on the link for tomorows blogger Cris Stone who is the designer of the the ONE DAY IN DECEMBER logo. Click here to go to Cris' blog: www.kissmytulle.com

My recap for 2012! Oh my gosh it has been a whirlwind year and so exciting! For those who don't know, my husband was offered a terrific job in Bombay, NY where he is from and actually moved back up there to live with his parents and start this new job back in September. Because of this I had to make the very difficult decision to sell my business to my wonderful assistant Nicole. I stayed behind to pack up the house and finish out my 2012 weddings. It's a bitter sweet feeling to leave Savannah since I have really made a niche for my little wedding planning business, I've met so many amazing wedding vendors, and I love the weather here. I'm from Boston, MA so I'll be going back to the cold. Think of me y'all when I'm scraping off snow and ice from my car, bundling up just to go outside, and drinking hot cocoa!! We will be closer to our family though and also close to my other friends I hardly ever get to see. Plus I'll get to travel to places I haven't been to yet like Montreal, Ottawa, Niagra Falls, the Thousand Island, and more!

With smiles and tears I have made the B I G G E S T wedding collage ever which shares my favorite memories of Simply Savannah Events This past year Simply Savannah Events helped with 24 weddings, 1 engagement session, 1 baby shower, and 3 styled shoots. We were published on great wedding blogs such as Style Me Pretty, Green Wedding Shoes, Intimate Weddings, and a few more big surprises to come of where we will be published in 2013!!!!

All the Little Details is my new blog and I've also started A Military Story I hope to share more about these new endeavours next year!!! Have a Merry Christmas Y'all, Happy Hanukkah, and Happy New Year!!

  3. I absolutely love the thought that you have done so much and are moving on to other things. I know it's going to be hard to let it go but I know that you have bigger things in store. Can't wait to see where life takes you!
